Mont Ventoux is a mountain quite unlike any other – 25 km long and 15 km wide, rising to 1,912 metres. This giant extends beyond the bounds of Eastern Provence. There is a provençal proverb stating: “You’re not mad if you climb it, but you certainly are if you climb it a second time”.
